The video DVD's that I haveburned with Nero come out horrible. THe quality is not fluid and sharp.. but choppy & horrible looking.
I have a Sony CDR-HC32 Digital cam. I have transferred from both the cassette tape and a memory stick. Have burned DVD's with footage from both teh cassette and Memory stick and they all come out the same -- choppy. When I play back the cassette tape on the cmcorder, it's very shapr and very fluid.
Can anyone tell me waht I'm doing wrong?
Thanks so much!
Julie

Can you give a few more details such as which version of Nero you have and which Nero program you are using (Nero Vision, Nero Vision Express, etc)? I'm using Nero 7 and my videos come out crystal clear with no skips.

It could also be the brand of blank DVD you are using. Stand-alone DVD players can be very picky about the brands.

I'm using Nero 6 - NeroVision Express 2.
DVD's i'm using are TDK DVD-R

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the fact taht I transfer/capture the video to the computer using the USB Cable instead of firewire. Think that could be the problem?
I don't have a firewire on my computer, but I guess i coudl get one?
Not sure if my Sony DCR-HC32 is firewire compatible.. i don't know much about firewires?
thanks for the help!

It shouldn't matter how you transfer the data, just make sure the file/s are on your internal hard drive when you burn them. I've heard people having issues with TDK. Try a different brand.
