Hi, I want to burn some videos on my hard drive to a DVD so I can watch them on a normal DVD player. Which program should I be using? I tried a few shareware programs, but I dont want to buy it just to burn a few videos. Some of the videos are WMV format, others are DivX encoded. I am using Windows DVD Maker to burn them. I tried burning a few Red Vs Blue episodes, which worked because each episode is about 6 minutes long. But I cant seem to burn full lenght TV shows in DivX format. If I add just one 45 minute TV episode, over a forth of the 150 minutes is used. Are there any freeware programs out there to burn these kinds of videos to a DVD?

I use Winavi to convert avi to vob (DVD). This takes less than an hour depending on pc & size of avi.

Nero takes more than twice as long.

For freeware try http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool...

Before posting try google. Backup. Use anti virus software.

ConvertXtoDVD works great for me. It's not shareware though, but it's pretty quick and can convert numerous different formats to dvd.

Standard DVD players read the .Vob format, the files you have now are in AVI format..

I suggest you download Cucusoft AVI/MPEG to DVD Converter, or ConvertXtoDVD
- I recommend the first.

It will convert your video files to the dvd format readable by all standard dvd players, then burn automatically to DVD!

it is easy to use, fast and it works! give it a try, you'll love it

1. Download AVI/MPEG to DVD Converter here:
http://www.burner-software.com/AVI-to-DVD
It can convert any video file.. like wmv, mpeg, asf, avi to dvd

2. Add or drag-n-drop as many video files as the DVD can handle

3. Insert blank DVD

4. Click "Convert & Burn"

5. Enjoy watching those video files on your home DVD player! =)
