I have a Sony VAIO computer with Windows
XP Media Center software. When I recently
changed from Brighthouse to AT&T Uverse I
had to stop using software to decode the TV
channels and begin using a video box from
AT&T (with the computer tuned to channel 3).
It works fine for most channels, but there are
several channels I cannot view because the
monitor turns blue after a few seconds of
watching that channel.

I noticed it primarily happens to premium
channels such as HBO (both standard
definition and high definition), but the system
works for SHO high definition, but not standard
definition. Likewise, I can get high definition
NBC, but not standard definition NBC. I know
it is not the Uverse decoder box because all
channels work when I hook the cable to a
regular TV.

I was wondering if the software on the Sony is
inspecting the content and blocking it out
because it thinks it is not legal, because I
cannot view recorded programs or live
broadcasts from these channels. Has anyone
else had this issue? Is there a fix?
