Having issues burning DVD's onto dual layer discs with my NEC DVD 3500AG burner using Nero 7...I have flashed the DVD drive & still making coasters...I thinks it's Nero causing the issues - can anyone recommend any other good burning software to try ?

Cheers in advance

A little more information please.

What sort of DVD are you trying to create? i.e. data disc, movie disc, audio disc, creating DVD from image file, etc.

What brand are the DVD's?

I am trying to back up one of my DVD's...using DVDShrink & Nero. Using Datarite Dual Layer DVD's & have never had any trouble using their 4.7gb discs

Do you know what copy protection is used on the DVD that you are trying to "backup"?

DVDshrink will work in conjunction with DVD Decrypter to burn your DVD. I've always done it this way and never once had a failure.

I wouldn't rely on DVDshrink to remove all types of copy protection. As suggested by rhawk7938, DVD Decrypter (or another similar software) can help with protection schemes not covered by DVDshrink.
