I made an AVI file using Pinnacle and it is 5.6 GB and runs for 38 minutes...I am not sure how to get it on to a DVD. Did I render it into the wrong format? Is it too big to go on a DVD?
I am just learning how to do this and would appreciate any advice. Thanks! ccc

AVI files are very big if not compressed.

Check videohelp.com for general info and specifics on compressing AVI files.

I 'think' it will work, try it and see. Of course you will need a program that creates DVDs. Newer versions of Nero will do it. You can do a Google search for "DVD creators" if you don't have one.

Your AVI was rendered in a very high quality. This is ok, but if you have the option to render to MPEG2, that would create smaller files and make creating DVDs more efficient.

Do yourself a favor BACKUP!!!
