I cannot play an avi file on my DVD player. I have played avi files on my DVD player before but this time it says "unsupport format". This avi file doesn't even play on DivX player.. It can be played using VLC but I haven't come across an avi file which can't be played on DivX. Even on VLC it skips. When I try to convert it using Winavi, it says, "Can't decode this file! Maybe the file is broken or the relative decoder is not installed!" Could someone please tell me how i can fix this file?

I think DVD players only support DIVX and XVID AVI files. It appears that the file might be some other AVI format. In my opinion WinAVI is not a very good converter. I've had good luck with the AVS converter.
