No software can completely separate the vocals from the music (in an mp3 file). There are programs that can lower the volume of one or the other, often with very unsatisfactory results.
Please let us know if you found someone's advice to be helpful.

Just out of curiousity, why separate the words & music anyways? Oh, I think what you actually want is the Karaoke MP3 without the words, am I right? Or is it like response 1 mentioned totally removing the vocal track?

Brother vocal remover is preety poor s/w.Although it separates music and lyrics but the sparated music is of great worst quality that u never wish to listen it again.
