I am using USB streaming to transfer movie from my camcorder to laptop. I am using Pixela Image Mixer and Picture Package. I have used my camcorder with my machine with windows 2000 and could transfer video as well as Audio. Now i am doing the same thing with my new laptop with Windows-XP, This time, I could transfer Video using the same USB cable but not the audio. Do i need any audio driver or USB driver on my laptop?

your help would be apprecited..

Is there a firewire connection on your laptop? If so, you will need a firewire cable from your cam to the laptop. The USB cable that usually comes with a camera is basicly for transfering pics to a pc or laptop. HTH

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

hey, I bought myself a firewire cable (1394) and a firewire card for my PC (it cost almost nothing) and now I am capturing my movies on my PC with really good quality AND SOUND without any problems! I have to say though that during the process of capturing the movie, one cannot hear the sound, but afterwards when you watch the clip there is sound and everything is perfect!
So, the problem was solved! Thanks for the advices!
BTW, for now I am using the image maker to capture the movie from the camcorder and then I am using windows movie maker. However, I guess there is better software for editing.
