After Effects: video's audio skips

i making a video out of three mpeg videos i took with my camera. when i play the videos through media player, they work great. but when i put it into after effects to work on it, the video is fine but the audio skips, well two out of the three clips, strangely. anyone know how this could of happened and how i can fix this?

I don't know if this will help, probably not. But I had all kinds of problems when I was trying to use MPEG2. The main problem was that the audio and video were always getting of of sync. I finally gave up trying to find a fix and switched to MPEG1. Now I have no problems.

adobe after effects? hmmm. Try ulead trial v 4. Also run it thru Vdub mpg2, and see if says anything when loading/parsing. Vdub doesnt honor time stamps and flags, so...
