There are 2 types are dolby digital, DD stereo and DD5.1. DDstereo is kind of a fake DD5.1 which uses phase shifting and frequency filtering to throw sound so you have the APPEARANCE of 5.1 sound.... very much like the old dolby prologic. You should already be able to get that but it is rarely used in anything other than home video. The DD5.1 requires 6 speakers because there are 6 discrete channels which is what most commercial movies come in. This you can not do with your present system. You didn't mention your sound card in detail but if it has surround sound ability then all you need to do is add 2 more speakers. If it is just a stereo sound card then you're out of luck.

To hear Dolby multi-speaker sound you have to be listening to something that was recorded that way. In other words there is no way to hear multi-channel sound from from a CD that was recorded in stereo or from an FM station that is broadcasting normal stereo.
