How do i know if the DVD I would like to copy is a double layer disk aside from its data size calculated using properties in the explorer?

If the data size is over 4.7Gb, then it is dual layer. If it is less, then it could be dual or single, but will in any case copy to single OK.

Each disk has a number along with a manufacturer name stamped on the inner part near the hole. You can use this number to look up the disk info on the manufacturer web sight.... unless of course it's a knock-off disk made in China or someplace like that.
