When recording tv programs, I get pixelation on playback about every 5 minutes. Any ideas? TIA

Try going into your custom settings and change to CBR recording.

VBR (variable bit rate) cuts back on the bitrate in the slower darker moments of the video. This can sometimes lead to pixelation if your bitrate is set low to begin with.

Recording in CBR (constant bitrate) attempts to deliver the same bitrate through out the video... even in the slower darker parts.
