A video clip showed in Windows Media Player once, and after that not again. What can explain that ?

I've noticed that WinMe is no longer an option amongst the O/Ss. Are WinMe related questions now 'out of bounds' ?

Windows ME is still there between Windowa95/98 and Windows NT.

I discovered that WMP v6 was still present - when I eleminated that, the clip played again (in v9).
