Video from Computer to the TV

Specs: Windows 7
I was looking on some ideas on the best way to watch videos on my TV from my computer in the easiest way possible.

Here are my ideas (not sure if they are viable, however)
1. HDMI cable from my laptop directly to my tv? Is this possible? If this is I don't have a laptop that has an HDMI outlet. My Thinkpad has an extra pci slot on the side and I believe if I bought an addon video card then I can get an HDMI outlet this way? If so what card would I buy.

2. Buy some kind of wireless pci card and hook it up to my desktop to transfer to the TV. Is this possible?

3. The easiest thing I could think of is having some sort of portable Hard drive that I could directly plug into my X box or something like that and run the files from there.

Well if anyone could help me out I'd really appreciate it. Thanks :)

If you have the Xbox 360 then you already have everything you need to make it work. You'll need to start Windows Media Center on both your console and your laptop. It's a little fuzzy for me at this point since it's been over a year since I've had the Xbox but I know it's possible. Maybe this'll help you.
