Specs: Windows 7 and XP, i5 CPU at 2.4GHz/ 4G RAM
I want to watch live TV though my computer on a 42" screen and it currently stops many times to load. It sounds like I need to update my video card. I don't do any gaming, but I really don't want to have any problems with stop/start live TV again.

So, I have two computers: a Lenovo laptop T410s running Windows7 and an IBM desktop running Windows XP. The desktop is not really used anymore and I have thought about loading it with a nice graphics card and dedicating it for television. Is this a good idea or should I install more VRAM on the laptop? Which is easier to do? I am handy, but have done very little inside the computer.

If you have a desktop I would it as a media computer because you can install Blue-Ray Players, Better Sound Card, Better Video Cards and they generally run faster. This is if you have a desktop you can spare to install into your entertainment center.
