set not turning on when power attached. not working.

Specs: Windows XP
Power would cut out on occasion. Shaking of transformer would turn machine back on. Yellow light would begin flashing and machine would automatically shut down. Shaking transformer would sometimes turn back on. Now machine totally dead. No life at all. Do I need new battery, or transformer???

NOTE this is a panasonic DVD Player not a computer.

Four possible causes:

1) Transformer has failed.
2) Power cord is damaged.
3) Fuse has blown in wall plug.
4) DVD Player has developed an internal fault.

What transformer? Do you mean it has an AC adapter as a power supply and that's what you're shaking? If so, those cords get messed up all the time from being twisted around.

I've deleted your other post as you should not be double posting.

You have provide absolutely no information what-so-ever. In the title you mention a "set", under category you've tagged it as a DVD player.

You need to provide specifications such as what type of device you are asking about. And when someone asks a question such as "what transformer" you need to answer the question, not create another post saying you've already answered.
