We had bought a 256MB SD card for our digital camera and it has been used in it for a couple of months. I was going on a business trip so decided to pull it out of the camera (after I downloaded and erased all the images) and put it in our MP3 player. The computer could not see the SD card in the MP3 player. I put it one of our 64MB cards and it was read fine. I put it back in the camera and sure enough it works fine. According to the MP3 players documentation it can use up to a 512MB SD card. Has anyone seen this before or do you think I just have a bad SD card?

You may have to format the card in your PC.

If you format the card in the Pc and then use it in a camera, it won't work.

Does your MP3 player manual have any instructions about formating?

Is the player a Creative product? Is the SD memory that new "fast" type? You may need to perform a BIOS update on the player.
