sd card not working in the photo printer

Specs: Windows 7
Do some printers only take certain sd memory cards? I have an HP printer that I have tried 4 different cards in and 2 are the sandisk and one kingston and one kodak. The only only that works is the kingston one. Why is that?

Printers are not normally fussy about brand but might be limited on size. Is the Kodak one the smallest by any chance?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Are you saying that the card might be too big for the printer? I am sure about 3 of the cards but not about the kingston because I don't have that one at the moment. It's one of my associates but I thought that it was a 4gb card too. Is 4gb the smallest you can buy? I thought that, that was the smallest I saw at walmart.

Yes, that's what I was wondering. You should be able to determine the relative capacity of your cards (when available) by right clicking them in Computer and looking in Properties. They might line up more exactly with the Bytes displayed rather than GB.

Smaller cards are available, such as 2G, but I guess they are getting a bit more rare these days.
