What can I use to re-encode my mp3's from 192kbps to 96kbps for my mp3 player? I used nero except some songs didnt even convert and some were corrupt. I was using the mp3 pro plugin and nero 7.

CDex will re-encode to a different bitrate and it's free. Just be forwarned though, MP3's won't sound very good once you re-encoded them, especialy with a bitrate that low.

I have cdex but you have to rip them from cd's right?
Its what I use to rip cd's but I am too lazy to sit and rip 30 cd's again. Plus I dont have time, I am leaving tomorrow and thats why I need music. Otherwise I will die.

No you don't have to rip them again. Launch CDex and to to Convert, Re-Encode Compressed Audio Files.
