PC-LCD-DSL-Surround Sound

What I have: Samsung LCD (new) Dell Desktop (new) DSL DVD/Theatre System Combo (last year) DirecTV (will be dropped soon) What I'd like to do: Hook up so I can utilize Netflix, website videos, etc. via internet AND use the theatre system too. Right now the PC is hooked to the TV, but the PC isn't working in that I can't access the CD drive which has the instal CD in it for the DSL. I'd lke to avoid the carrier since they probably would love to have the opportunity to charge me more money for an "additional hookup". Did I cover enough bases for suggestions?
