I have a Panasonic TH-50PX80. I bought a DVI to HDMI cable to connect my desktop to the TV but I'm having some resolution problems. My TV will always display the picture but by cutting off the edges all the time. I get half of the taskbar (which you can now assume how much i miss all around) I'm currently on 1280x720 on my TV. I've tried other resolutions but 800x600 doesn't cut out some parts though I wish not to use this resolution. I took a screenshot of my desktop and I get a full picture. My Catalyst knows it's a Panasonic DTV running from DVI.
If anybody has any ideas, please let me know.
Thanks for your time.

The cutting of the taskbar has to do with tv's using what is called overscan. Overscan is extra image area around the four edges of a video image that is not normally seen by the viewer. You might be able to change this by looking into the advanced display settings on your computer. There maybe an option for overscan.
As log as your tv is set to "Full" aspect ratio and is set to 720p and your computer is set to 1280x720 then it should work fine.
I would look into the overscan option. That's all that comes to mind right now.
