no sound, s-video, pc to TV

Hello,
I have connect my PC to TV so that l can watch VCD, and DVDs. Using the s-video. I have audio and visual cables. I have them connected correctly and l have a good picture but not sound. The cables are correct and pluged in the right sockets.
Is there anything l have configure something on my computer to get the sound working.

if your s-video is plugged into the graphics card, then you will not have sound to the tv. howevr, it should come through the pc's speakers as normal. the tv merely being an extension of the monitor. to put sound through the tv, you need to plug the audio leads to the tv, in the speaker out of your sound card.
