Hi
Win XP Professional User
My PC has Intel Pentium 3.Ghz processor and Intel motherboard which has its own sound card and graphics card and I had an ordinary 15 inch monitor.

Last week I purchased a Flatscreen Samsung SyncMaster 920NW which is 19 inch and wide screen hoping to get a better picture quality.
But i realised I have made a mistake and the picture quality has diminished and the text appears blurred or not sharp as before.

What do i do to improve the picture and text quality??

Thanks in advance

Read the monitors documentation to discover it's Optimal (native) resolution settings.

Then go to Display Properties, Appearance, Effects and under "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts" set it to "Clear Type" and with a check mark next to that item. Click Ok, Ok.

Those items will provide about the best you will get. (unless someone else has something more to offer)

Regards,
Bryan
