There was a posting about that in Tom's Hardware in Jan during
CES. Basically it's getting the brightness and contrast right. The
room also affects your viewing.

I understand. I've heard that tv's come standard ready for showroom display. I was looking for a DVD or Software that I can download online and play it on my dvd player. Or maybe a site that gives precise instructions for calibrating a specific tv.
