Is the power plugged in to the speakers? Have you reset the power strip? Have you had sound before and suddenly its not working? or are the speakers new? Look on the back of your computer, is the sound jack plugged into the green colored hole (only if there are multiple options for sound jacks)? Goto Start->Control Panel->System->Device Manager->Sound,video and game controllers. Are there any yellow or red icons?

I checked the power chord and it was completely in, i havent tried the power strip (how exactly do you do that?) the speakers a fairly old now probably from around 03. I dont have multiple option sound jacks but i will check for the game controllers.
