MP3 back to WAV????

Is it possible to take an MP3 file from iTunes and convert it back to wave format for recording to a CD? If so, what program will do that or where can I read details? thanks

There is no reason to convert to WAV. You can record MP3s to an audio CD.

Yes, but I hope you aren't doing it to try and regain the WAV quality, because that will not work.

That's what I thought. MP3 is a compressed file correct, going back would require some sort of addition to the file to compensate for what was removed to make it MP3 (?).

Thanks, just needed to hear it from someone else.

Sorry, there just isn't any way to recover the quality lost by the compression.
