Since there's no separate pro audio forum i'll try my luck here..
I have an M-Audio 2496 4in 4out card in my mac and recently went to hook up some midi gear..
In order to enable midi, the manual states to locate the 'Delta Audiophile OMS driver' from the driver CD and place in the appropriate system folder..
Well, there isn't any included on the driver cd..the installer doesn't install it (nowhere on the harddrive), there's no mention of such a driver anywhere on the manufacturers website, or anywhere else on the web, other than half a dozen *other* M-Audio owners *also* leaving posts re: said missing driver..no response from support, neither to myself or to those other owners, and the ones i was able to contact had themselves never solved this either..
Has *anyone* here -ever- had one of these cards..
and found out where to find the 'Delta Audiophile OMS driver'??

Oh my God. I'm having exactly the same
problem. I don't know where the hell this
driver is but I'm going out of my nut trying
hook up my keyboard. I have a G4 running
9.2.2 and when I spoke to the guys at
M-Audio they said that I had it hooked up
properly but that there must be a problem
with the break-out cable or the card itself.
That sounds a bit dodgy to me so I may
try taking it back to the shop.
In my opinion the manual seemed old
and possibly out of date - maybe that part
of the manual was wrong and that there
is no driver. I'm going to try and find out so
let me your e-mail address and we can try
and work this out because I want to make
some tunes.
