My speakers have been working perfectly until today. I switched the wall socket on and there was no power coming through the control centre. I have tried a different power lead but to no avail. Was wondering if anyone had any insight into the problem? Thanks
check the power transformer it might have failed. i had a cheap speaker set that suddenly stopped working, turned out that the power transformer had burned down (it had intensively heated before)
HI i have the same problem just now after i had my Z-5500's powered on i hit the sub mains and i now have absolutely no power. I most definetly think that all that is wrong is that the fuse in the sub unit has blown. If u take a look at the back & open the fuse cover u will see a tiny white fuse. This i think is a common problem with these speakers, do not turn them on and off at the bass. Now i have to go and find a fuse, only after having these a month.
i had the smae problem guys 2nd time happened to me advice!!!! do not take out the cable to the control unit without turning off the device this is a majour problem with the speakers!! on the z550 loigitechs i now have to buy a fuse t2a arhhh im callign and conplaining also a fussy noise comes form my speakers in surround sound music setting? anyone know why?
thanks
dont put up with manufactureing s--- always conplain to make the world better and get angry its your money
My logitech speakers showed the same promblem two weeks after i bought them! This means i have to carry that nasty subwoofer to the shop i purchased them for repair.I cant risk messing with the warranty by doing it myself.Crap.So its a common fact among these speakers. Conclusion:never switch off the master power from the subwoofer.Damn u logitech!
I have a problem with my Z5500 speaker set. It was giving a hiss noise and a noise similar to when a cable is broken - that sudden peak beep noises. I found out (by changing and disconnecting speakers) that it is not the sub woofer/satellites but the control unit - or it can be the cable. Anyone solved this problem? I suspect that if it is because of the powerful magnet of the subwoofer as I kept the control unit on top of that. Please let me know if you know a solution for this. Thanks in advance.
