Are you sure you're connecting it right? Are the connecting wires in good condition?

I'm sure it can be fixed but at what cost? There's several hits for that model on ebay:

On the face of it (from what you've said) then there is a fault within the unit, so unless you know somebody who is able to work inside it and is familiar with this sort of activity then replacement is your only option.

What is the background. Did this sound system suddenly stop working or has it never worked?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

OK thanks. Not much I can add to the first para of my #3 then - seems like the electronics are failing. Can't help with where to get replacements as I'm in the UK.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

I guess you can either take it to a shop and spend more than a new one would cost or open it up and see if it's something obvious. A lot of enclosures are glued shut and aren't meant to be opened up. I don't know if that's the case with yours.

Well, I asked previously about the condition of the speaker wires. Because they're usually such a light gauge it's common for the wires to break inside the insulation near the connector because they're constantly being moved, stretched or plugged and unplugged. So consider that as you contemplate further actions.
