how can i play avi format in dvd player

Specs: Windows XP, 2 gb
i have hd movie size 700mb but i want to play movie in DVD player but its cant play because dvd cant read .Avi format so i converted .avi format to .obj but that time movie size increased 5 gb and
i have only 4 gb pan drive. .
so what i will do

You can't play .AVI videos in a standard DVD player unless it supports DivX / DivX Ultra. If your player doesn't support DivX, you will need to convert the .AVI to DVD format. To do that, you'll need a program such as ConvertXtoDVD, DeVeDe, or similar. And yes, the file size will grow considerably, but it will fit on a standard 4.7GB DVD disc.

However, if you want to watch the video on your PC, all you need to do is update your video/audio codecs & use Windows Media Player, or install VLC.
