Specs: Windows xp
I edited an audio file on WMMM. It is now an .WMMM file (audio). I want to export it as a wav file in order to then convert it to an MP3 on itunes.
How do I do it?

Got into this problem because I have a Zoom H4 digital recorder and wanted to edit the file into smaller files. The Cubase softward that came with the recorder is from Steinberg and it is so darned complicated that I can't even do this simple task. A friend suggested that I could edit it on WMMM and export it as a wav file, but the program does not allow me to export it or change it to a wav. Please help.

I'm not sure why you would use a movie editing program to edit audio but you really should be using an audio editing program instead. Try Audacity. It's free and very easy to use. Plus it will comvert the audio into the mp3 format.

Great, I downloaded Audacity, but how do I cut the file to the piece I want to save? Not so easy for someone who hasn't done this before.

Can you help?

Highlight the part you want to save by holding down the left mouse button and drag from the begining of the section you want to save to the end of the section you want to save then go to Edit, Trim.
