I have search far and wide for a means to connect my geforce 6800 GT OC to my hdtv. I have component input on it, however this card does have hdtv out. I have been trying to locate a DVI to component adapter, as I'm sure this is the only way I'm going to get a true hd signal still. Are there any other ways, or anywhere else to find this adapter. There is one on the ATI site for $50, and one at a place called monoprice.com, however both say this supports ati cards. I would think this would be generic for any DVI-I output. Is this true? Are there any other ways to do what I want?

yes, this is apparently a very rare adapter. I've managed to find one at a place calle monoprice.com, and one at ati, but no one else has anything to do this. They have the adapter to go from dvi to vga, then vga to component, but I think there would be some signal lost there, and I don't think you would get a true HD signal through that.
