DVD Rom not working

Dear friends, I got HP Compaq Presario C300, i was using this Notebook last 2 years and it works fine but now my DVD Rom has stoped working and not recognise any thing . It just give sound like searching as others do normally but show nothing. Can anyone help me to sort it out, Thanks

A lens cleaner disc (Google it) may help, but otherwise, you're probably looking at replacing the drive...
