I have 2 monitors,a 19'' LCD monitor and a 15'' CRT monitor but it's flat in real life.I tried to dual these monitors but only clones were available, i am currently using HIS 4870 ICEQ 4+. There are 2 DVI ports and it IS dual monitor capable. I tried to set extend to a second display in CCC(Catalyst Control Center) but it did not offer a option of extending the display. Im currently using the latest version but to no avail. I'm currently using windows 7.Apparently, when i set extend to display 2(CRT) with LCD as main display in WINDOWS 7 display options, it automatically disable the CRT and let LCD on,and vice versa. Boot up screens show up on both monitors.however, upon entering windows, the CRT monitor shut offs.

Whenever you ask to have Extended Display, does CCC keep these settings while your CRT shuts off? If so, try changing the sceen resolution on your CRT to something smaller. 800x600 just to be sure.
