I hope someone can help me.!!
Here goes, I've been using a USB-2.0 7-in-1 card reader to transfer pictures from my "SD"-256MB memory stick in my "Minolta Dimage F200" & Up until just moments ago it's always worked fine. This time when I click on "removable disk J" in my windows explorer, a dialog box comes up telling me I have to format the memory stick. I've never encountered this before. 2 questions. 1) will I loose all my pics if I click "YES" to format.?? & 2), why now am I being told to format the disk when its never been required to do this before.?? I really don't want to loose these new pics. Thanks, Maxx London ON.
Forgot to mention, I have 2 different cameras with 2 different types of memory sticks. My other memory stick that I use in my sony cybershot is the Sony pro-stick. It reads & displays my pictures just fine but the other one will not. Any suggestions & Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again, Maxx

Do you have another way of connecting the Minolta to the PC to transfer the images?
If so then try that.

And yes, if you chose to format the card you will lose all data (pics) found on that memory card.

PCInspector might work to get them off because I have known people that had card trouble and this did the trick to get the photos off.
God knew I couldn't be a pioneer, that's why he gave me a computer!
