How? analog, digital, SP/IF. What outputs do you have? What inputs? How many channels?

It appears that all you have is analog inputs on the philips. Your output from the sound card is line out. You will probably need a mini stereo plug to 2 RCA plugs cable. All you will get is stereo out unless you have synthesized surround output. The sixteen channels is from the midi output on the sound card.
