Can not get audio to work.

Creative Soundblaster live! platinum 5....
December 30, 2010 at 15:34:59
Specs: Centos Linux 5.5 from iso on i686, 386 meg
When I check the sound control module it told me that it wasn't loaded with the initial os config. I went to software upgrade and it said I was unable to retrieve from the repository. How can I get the audio to work and get updates from the repository?

The computer that I am using for this project is a Dell Dimension 8100 Intel Pentium 4 with 386 meg of ram which I intend to upgrade to I gig and has a creative soundblaster live card in it.

The feedback I am getting also says that it does not recognize the soundblaster card. Please help I am new to Linux so take it easy on me. Tks

Best Regards

I think you need to google for Linux drivers for your model of sound card.

If you are lucky, there might be one in a repository.

A thank you would be nice, if I have helped.
