ok, so i got a panasonic phone that has this caller iq feature, which is also known as openlcr. is this a good thing? I noticed it has call routing which is supposed to save you money.

" Low Cost Routing
openLCR provides you the opportunity to save money on long distance calls and faxes. The technology compares the rates of your current long-distance carrier with the rates of openLCR’s partner carriers, then routes your call through the low cost carrier. Your in-state, state-to-state and international calls will be routed through the low cost carrier."

what does this mean? is this a good thing to have enabled? if i dont want this enabled, can i have other stuff like weather and scores without this routing? Thanks for the help.

I have downloaded a few ringtones for my home phone -- it is quite cool!

I am trying the Phonebook download, weather forecast and sports scores next.

You do not have to sign up the long distance to have the other stuff. Check openLCR's FAQ section.
