It would depend on what you have, or want, to work with. If I wanted to do what your describing, I would just play the 180 minute video while recording it on the DVD recorder. After about 90 minutes into the video, at what seemed like a good place, I would pause the playback and stop and finalize the first half. Then, I would put a second blank DVD in the recorder and unpause the video playback as I started the recording again. Seems simple enough, but it would take over 3 hours to accomplish.

Thank u. This idea is great, but is there a method, i know its not possible on video, but through a computer so that you can choose the langage or anything like it? Or even include and choose the subtitles?

Well, yes, it is completely possible to do all that, it's done in places like Hollywood on a daily basis. But, to have a powerful enough computer and the sophisticated software required to do that kind of editing on a 180 minute DVD quality MPEG-2 video isn't usually practical for the average person as a hobby activity. There are several consumer grade (meaning costing less than $1000) video editing software suites available which will allow adding subtitles and even editing in new soundtracks, but trying to accomplish that with a long film while using even a top-of-the-line Dell computer (for example) will be tedious work. And, if your talking about creating a DVD from a movie which will allow you to select language or subtitles on playback, then your going to have to spend thousands of dollars for the equipment to do that. But, yes, it is very possible. Just not practical unless you are going to make a business of it.
