Hello, I was wondering if there was a program out there to use a Texes Instruments TI-84 graphing calculator calculator as a USB keyboard. I need a USB keyboard and was wondering if I can use my calculator as one.

Unless the Device is 'On-the-Go' complient, it will need the necessary hardware inside to act as a GUEST device, you PC USB is a HOST device. If you know the answer is yes to this question then you may have a chance.
Secondly to be a keyboard it must be able to act as a HiD ie Human Interface Device.
Will therefore point you towards the USB specs:

The was a program on the CD that came with the calculator that was designed to control an optional product you can buy for the calculator. I tried loading it, and my computer came up with "Found new hardware: HID complient hardware" and when I began pressing buttons on the calculator, I was able to click on a program and run it. My game console also took the calculator as an input device. Yes, there are programs that can make the calculator a guest USB HID colmplient device.

You will not find a program for such a thing. A program is only a set of instructions directing a bunch of electronic switches, channels... etc.
If the hardware isn't there to direct then there is no sense in writing a program for it. Your calculator does not have the necessary hardware structure to support your request.

if it has separate keys to represent the same amount of keys on a normal keyboard, a program could be found or written to do so as long as there are 85 keys (thats how many on my laptops keyboard) and if you can memorize what key on the keyboard represents what key on the computer it will work... but why not just spend the $10-$15 and buy pocket sized roll-able usb keyboard

"if it has separate keys to represent the same amount of keys on a normal keyboard, a program could be found or written to do so as long as there are 85 keys"
Um... I don't think so.
Can you write a program to start your coffee maker, or car?
As I said before, a program is merely a set of instruction that a computer follows. The computer will in turn control the interface between the device and the computer.
You need the proper interface between the Calculator's keyboard and the computer... there isn't one.

I'm not a hundred percent sure, although I do not know what it is called I believe, although I may be wrong, I think there is software that does this and it may be in the calculator.
If you look on youtube you can see someone hack windows xp password with like a ti-83 or something.
It may just be using numbers too though
The program loaded in the calculator is running a hackxp.exe program or something.
This might give some insight
You know what sucks.
Is when people answer posts
with assumptions.
