Can someone tell me what is the average size of music file (MP3 or WMA). I am trying to buy a 128MB digital music player as b'day present. I like to know how many songs I could save in 128MB say using MP3 or WMA. Thanks

The average is about 1MB per 1 minute of MP3 music encoded at 128Kbps. Newer songs are often ripped with a higher bitrate such as 192Kbps which means it takes more space per minute.
I would count on a 128MB player to hold about as many songs as you could fit onto a CD.
