Hello all! Im trying to set up a little file server for my brother's new business. The major requirement is that a user's files need to be accessible from any PC the internet. I would like to shy away form an FTP server and rather have a web based file manager. The reason being that any PC that the employee may be on could be running any OS any may not have an FTP client. Also, the users may need to upload a file from anywhere. I was looking at web based software such as xythos and nexus. The problem with xythos is that it's expensive. I'm hopefully looking for some freeware. That brought be to nexus and the problem with that is I do not have control where the files are actually stored on the file system making samba sharing virtually imposable.
