Hi, I have been using FoxPro 2.5/2.6 for Windows, for 16 years. For compatibility with 32bit OS, I have been using Patch2x.exe and have ben running it on XP/Vista For the past few days, I am unable to start the program. When I tried to reinstall, the installation does not work either - says the Win16 Subsystem may be unstable Can you please suggest a remedy? You may try doing a system restore via Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore. Jump back to a date prior to the issue and see if that fixes it. If you can't do that for some reason (IE. Restore is disabled), you may try going to Add/Remove Programs and remove the windows updates one at a time starting with the most recent until it does work.
