Specs: Windows XP
I would like to transfer pictures and some documents from an old computer running windows 98 to a new laptop running windows 7.
The old computer has a usb terminal and an ethernet terminal.
What is the simplest way to accomplish this?

Using the USB is probably the easiest. Make sure the file formats are compatible.

Flash drive / External Drive is the easiest also tends to be faster usually than over a network can be sometimes, depending on equipment of course. The only thing you have to make sure is that the drive is formatted Fat16/32 but most things are.
