Hi,

I have a switchboard that opens up automatically opens when i open my db.

It had 3 items on the opening page and everything was working fine, now i added a 4th item to the list and the title of the page in the form header has change from "main menu" to "4th item in the list".

If i remove the 4th item then the "main menu" returns.

The titles in the other pages are working ok, ie if i click on the 1st item in the list then the menu that appears has the correct title.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Robert Edgar

I have the exact same problem and it has happened more than once. Each time, I have done the following:

copy the old switchboard table contents into a new table.
Delete the old switchboard form and table.
Restart the Switchboard wizard.
Paste the old switchboard table contents into the new switchboard table.

fixes it every time. not sure how to fix it any other way. if you have, please let me know.

i was having the same problem and have done some searching on the web for solutions. they have all seemed a little crazy. before i started playing with them, i was going to backup my database. that's when i saw the compact and repair function. i ran it and my switchboard is all good in the hood. try that before you get crazy. good luck.

Thank you, mendo! I compacted my db and it fixed my switchboard. Also saved a good amount of disk space! I never would've guessed that Access could be so quirky. Sure appreciate your post.
