Specs: Windows 7, Pentium 4 2GHz / 4 gigs.
Two dbf file and also index files corresponding to them, don't open in the program Visual FoxPro. In Windows they can't be copied in other folder, to rename, remove, simply view on F3 from WinCommander. The files were stored on a portable hard drive. Such impression that during work of the program, when recording information on the disk, there was some failure at a low level. Prompt, please, as (by means of what programs) it is possible to restore files?

✔ Best Answer
It is look like a file system error.
- Try to copy the file to another carrier and see if it works? you can try usual copying, surely on other carrier, so that nothing is damage. If usual copying is not performed, then the structure of the file system was corrupted.
- Then it is easiest to run the standard ScanDisk (scandisk X: /F). It will detect the errors and will try to correct them. As a rule, it helps.
- Go to the source and read the information there on this topic.
