Solved Running a report with with combo box and different tags

Specs: Windows XP
I'm trying to set up a report that managers can select dates and employees from. I have two dates (Date Received and Date Taken) and one combo box I populate with a table called Picklist-Task Owner. The table has three fields: ID, autonumbered; Task Owner, text that I type in; Task Owner Mgr, also text that I add.

The table I run the report from is called Master_Data and the 'Task Owner' is called 'Analyst Name' here.

I need to take the Task Owner selection from the combo box and have Access understand it's pulling back all records from Master_Data where Task Owner matches Analyst Name.

Is that even possible? I really need some help here! Pretty please?

In the query that is tied to the report, enter something similar to this in the criteria line of the Analyst Name column: [Forms]![NameOfForm]![NameOfCombobox]

You may have to work with the data a bit because the field you want to use to filter the Master_Data table is a free text field. If you don't get any results in the report, it is most likely because of a mismatch in the two tables. The name in the picklist table will need to be identical to the name in the analyst name column.

Law of Logical Argument: Anything is possible if you don't know what you're talking about.

Analyst Name from Master_Data is populated by a combo box that uses Picklist-Task Manager, just like the combo box on my form Individual Reports so they should be identical, right?

That's a good point! You are correct. They will be the same because that picklist is used to populate both.
