So im not sure if im over my head but im trying to use a database to hold the location to a bunch of my videos i have, and then im going to make an html site with php and javascript to try to host the videos locally on my machine through my virtual machine on a monitor like 24/7 and im just wondering if anyone knows of any documentation of like how to add the location of different videos into a database, and imbeding video codecs into your webpage so u can play more than one file type (like .rm and .avi). any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK. thats a little over my head to. But if i get the movies to play then u do know how bad it could lag doing that. Try playing a few movies off Hulu. And if that works then ur fine. if Ur wored about space then get a server or a old computer and link it to the internat and run a Remote desk top on it 24/7 and get a flash with the same program. The remote desk top allows u to do what ever u wont to the computer as if u were on it its self. Or just get a flash drive and us that, its much fast then what i listed. Good luck. Hope i helped.
