I've used the mysql client for years and am perfectly comfortable using it. Others that I work with are now starting to use mysql and would like a gui client (for windows).

I've seen only phpMyAdmin, which seems pretty clunky.

Are there others available and what are your opinions of them?

Thanks

The mysql site mentions an admin tool and a query browser.

Any opinions on these would be welcome.

Don't know why you say phpMyAdmin is 'clunky'... It works fine for me.
