Hi,
I am currently working in mainframe.I like to learn SQL.can anyone suggest the best way to get excel in SQL and ORACLE.
how the SQL differ from ORACLE.as i am basically a civil engineer i have only very muce less idea about ORACLE.
I would like to get suggestions from the experienced guys as i am just a begineer to my career.

Use google (or some search engine) to find resources. I did a google on "sql oracle tutorial" and found numerous links to books, papers and websites.

Given that SQL is very much the same between different databases, you don't have to start with Oracle specific resources. I would guess that 80% of SQL is the same between database versions. Meaning 80% of what will work on Oracle, will also work with MySql, SQL Server, etc. Actually, I'd guess that it's higher than 80%.
